Bollywood Stars on the Ramp at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014

Bollywood and Indian Fashion Designers work very close to each other. A lot of the movie stars are on the catwalk for the designers in the different fashion weeks.

Leading ladies from Bollywood are usually a fixture on the catwalk, usually for their favourite designers. The close relationship is not surprising because consumers and media usually look to the shows for inspirations for their looks.

Beautiful Collection by Debashri Samanta at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014 Edition

One of the most exciting designers who creates beautiful and quirky prints is Indian Designer Debashri Samanta - and she showed her latest collection at the Lakme Fashion Week's Winter Festive 2014 edition.

The prints and styling were trademark for the designers and very fresh. The styles looked like they were perfect for the summer and not necessarily for the winter, but you can easily combine these styles. The styles are ideal to be layered and worn in multiple layers in the colder season.

Alia Bhatt Walked the Ramp for Jewellery Brand at IBFW2013


Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt walked down the India Bridal Fashion Week last year on the ramp for jewellery brand Azva. The designs were contemporary for the young and beautiful.

It was a great event and we’re looking forward to seeing what all the other Indian designers have in store for us this year!

Indian Bridal Lehenga: Bollywood Style



Indian bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty got married to a London-based business tycoon Raj Kundra in the year 2009. Like the traditional Indian Bride Shilpha Shetty chose red as the colour for her wedding Lehenga. Tarun Tahiliani, the famous Indian Designer designed Shipha’s Bridal Lehenga for her big day. She was looking spectacular in her red Bridal lehenga.


Esha Deol got married to her childhood crush Bharat Takhtani in June 2012. The Wedding was a traditional South Indian Wedding. Esha Deol was also seen wearing a traditional red coloured lehenga. The Lehenga was inspired by Kanjeevaram saree. She was looking beautiful in her Bridal Lehenga.


Glam Diva Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawad of Patodi Saif Ali Khan got marriage on 16th October 2012. Their gorgeous wedding was a royal Affair. The wedding took place at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. Bebo‘s bridal lehenga was designed by Indian Fashion designer Ritu Kumar. She was looking like a Royal Begum.

Beautiful bollywood star looking gorgeous in bridal lehenga

JJ Valaya's India Bridal Fashion Week was a stunning event, inspired by Spain and so aptly named The Maharaja of Madrid. The clothing range evoked chivalry and daring conquests as well as romance! Appearing at the closing of the show was the bollywood star Esha Gupta in a stunning bridal lehenga.

Indian Wedding Outfits gothic style

Bridal Lehengas latest trends

The IFBW 2013 has left us with some new suggestions and trends regarding bridal lehengas' shapes and colours. If we focus on bridal colours is interesting to notice how white and black ( the latter mostly combined with gold), before almost not considered or even banned, have now come to be quite popular among bridal Indian designers.

India Bridal Fashion Week is just over and below you can find our list about the latest trends in Indian Wedding Outfits.
1) Rarely seen on a bride, black this time was seen quite a lot in the catwalks especially in combination with gold.

2) White seems not to be a taboo anymore and Indian designers were using it for their modern brides.

3) The Sari Gowns was the real novelty of the fashion week, combining the Indian traditional draped saree shape with the "easy-to-wear" attribute of the more western bridal gowns.
