Tyra Banks has been named as the most popular model on social media, racking up the highest number of followers across the different social networks with over 12 million fans in total. The poll was conducted by online site Modelinia, which ranked the world's leading models by the size of their online fanbase.
The supermodel which worked for different contemporary fashion designers was followed by Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima and rival Project Runway host Heidi Klum (who came second and third with 3.5 million and 2.8 million Twitter and Facebook fans respectively). Vogue cover girls Gisele Bundchen, Kate Upton and Cindy Crawford also feature in the top ten.
